Leadership Empowerment And Development (LEAD) Institute is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to advancing youth leadership in underserved communities in Malaysia. Founded in 2014, LEAD Institute has impacted 50,000 lives across Malaysia through projects in art and culture, health, civic engagement, environment, education, and economic development. LEAD Institute is a winning recipient of the Sustainable Development Award organised by JCI Malaysia in 2022, an award that aims to recognise organisations that advocate Sustainable Development Goals.

Founders

KC See
Co-Founder and President , LEAD Institute
KC See is the co-founder and President of LEAD Institute. He is a serial entrepreneur, management consultant, renowned international trainer and an author of five financial and management books, including the bestseller ‘Quest for Excellence’.

Being an international trainer, KC has trained and mentored over 100,000 professionals, senior managers, executives, salespeople, teachers and students in areas like Entrepreneurship, Sales and Marketing, Leadership and Communication Skills across the globe over the last 3 decades. He aspires to give back to the community through LEAD Institute by bringing forth his expertise and experience to develop the future Malaysian leaders.

KC is also a regular contributor to business magazines, radio and television programmes in the region.
Choon Sian
Co-Founder and Executive Director , LEAD Institute
Choon Sian is the co-founder and Executive Director of LEAD Institute. He is also a Certified Professional Trainer by International Professional Managers Association (IPMA), UK, and Ministry of Human Resource Malaysia.

Believing that every youth deserves an equal chance to succeed, Choon Sian has committed to nurturing and inspiring young leaders throughout Malaysia. Since 2012, he has trained over 20,000 millennials from 100 schools and universities across Malaysia in entrepreneurship and financial education. He is one of the youngest thought leaders to be invited to TV and radio shows to share his experience.

Throughout his active involvement in youth development, Choon Sian had the privilege to meet world leaders, as well as Nobel Peace Prize Laureates – Prof Muhammad Yunus and Kofi Annan. In 2015, he was acknowledged by President Obama for his work as a young leader in entrepreneurship. He also serves as a youth advisor to Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), an initiative launched by President Obama. He is also featured in "Successful People In Malaysia" Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition, published by Britishpedia.
